A popular theme at the Real Estate Connect conference was optimizing the use of online marketing channels such as Craigslist. Brokers use RentJuice to post thousands of ads per day and we’ve analyzed some of the resulting data to gain insights into what makes a good (or bad) advertisement.
One insight that people often find surprising is that you should not use ALL CAPS in your ad titles. Ads with all caps in their titles get significantly fewer views than ads that have proper capitalization (i.e., capitalize the first letter of each word). In fact, using the right type of capitalization can mean up to 50% more ad views.
